Hello everyone! I wanted to congratulate you on scheduling a new patient experience with us at Carson Valley Dental Arts. We are excited for you to come in and start the path toward a healthier and happier smile. When choosing a new dental practice people often feel nervous and scared about their first experience. They can feel intimidated by the doctor, possibly related to previous experiences with dental care. Many people feel anxious about dental treatment and the cost of dental work. My staff and I are here for you every step of the way to make every visit a comfortable visit.
I’m Dr. Matthew Torres and I’ll be the dentist that you will see on your first visit! Before we dive in, I think it’s important for you to know a little more about myself. I have been a dentist since 2014. I served as a US Navel officer for 5 years providing dental care for the Marines and sailors and for 3 years my family and I were stationed overseas.
As far as education I invest in over 100 hours of continuing education a year which is 5 times more than the required amount by the Nevada State Board! I believe that we should always grow and better ourselves every day.
A smile is worth a thousand words, so we believe that everyone should love the way their smile looks. I have had patients come in wanting to make their smile look better so they can be happy with how their smile looks in pictures, or to enjoy being with their grandkids, smiling, or going out to dinner laughing with friends. These are all reasons why people fix their smiles.
